Right-click the book and choose 'Study' to open a dialog that lets the reader set their own XP gain modifier from -100% (no XP at all) up to +500% (six times the normal rate), in predefined steps.

This is a mod that allows casting level bonuses from various sources to accumulate. By default, Casting Level bonuses in the IE games do not stack -- the last-applied effect always wins. This mod fixes that. So if you had a class kit that had a -2 malus to Arcane Casting Level, wore a robe that gave +3 to Arcane Casting Level, and picked up a proficiency that gave +1 to Arcane Casting Level.

In fact, all spells such as Abi-Dalzim's Wither, which take character level into account, can exceed the legal limit (20) up to level 50 (you can easily reach this level solo with the XP Cap remover or Throne of Bhaal)... This can result in some pretty monstrous damage, such as 25d8....

Alexia Kalila Johara Al-Mustafa or X as she has been known to go by, claims she's from the city of Calimport from the country of Calimshan. Soft spoken and quiet, she tends to keep to herself and says little to anyone. She is a well trained assassin who can get to anyone no matter how many traps or people are protecting her target. She enjoys the challenges present to get to her target. She's not a braggart but she does excel at being the best she is. Her calling card is leaving a note with an X on the body of her target and all witnesses are generally killed. Alexia does not belong to any guilds, she works alone and takes on contracts to her liking. One such contract is killing Irenicus, which is why she wishes to join your group.

Almateria's Enhanced Smaller Locations

This little mod adds abandoned and unused locations while maintaining a kind of cohesion with the story. Basically, Unfinished Business, but much smaller:
- Aran Linvail's realistic checkroom: the cloak ramps are now filled with various assortments of cloaks, mostly suitable for thieves. Loot is completely random, so good luck getting the best result! Restored tent in Trademeet: a new tent is open to visitors! Located near the caravan, its contents are well worth a look.
- Kiser's bedroom restored: a guest bedroom has been added to Kiser's house, present but not used in the game. The stairs to the bedroom are located to the east of the entrance, behind the wall.

Note that much of its content has been integrated into Almateria's Quest 2 and Almateria's tweaks by the same author.

Created for BG with its Tales of the Sword Coast expansion, this mod adds a new blacksmith located at the Friendly Arm Inn: Thorengrim Hammerfist. He sells new items and, like Cromwell, can improve 11 others. In addition to its merchant aspect, this mod adds 3 new encounters: ogres in the Bandit Camp, a duergar and his menagerie in the Nashkel mines, and drunken sailors trying to rob you at Baldur's Gate.

This mod is no longer available, having been integrated into the Dark Horizons mod.

Isaac is a thief lawful evil who values honor, and though his methods are ruthless and sometimes cruel to achieve his ends, he values the systems of order and only wishes to expunge what he believes corrupts Faerun, the meddling of devils, demons, and their spawn. In balance, so must the spawn of any outsider be removed. This puts him against people like Haer'dalis, Sirene, and Emily. However, his loyalty to the PC encourages him to respect who they bring along, though displease him too much, and he may leave of his own choice. Isaac has his own kit, but he can also use the The Artisan's Kitpack Invisible Blade Kit if installed.

This mod increases hostel prices by taking the following factors into account: location, size, competition, standing, security. As a result, it becomes much more difficult to spend the night in the cities, unless you want to sleep in the sewers. Room categories have also been redefined. An inn that looks like a cheap bar no longer offers the Noble or Royal room category. Other inns, which visually have no rooms at all, can no longer accommodate overnight stays and have been transformed into taverns.
